Google Docs in Sitemason

This is an example of using a Google Docs Document in Sitemason with the Web Proxy tool. The content of this page is a live Google Docs Document, but it shows up inside a Sitemason site with Sitemason navigation. Use the following steps to do the same with your Sitemason website.

  1. Publish your Google Docs Document from the Share menu or using the Manage Sharing option. Do not require people to log in to Google Docs to view the Document. Once published, copy the URL to the published version for use in step 3.
  2. In your Sitemason Site Manager, click the "Add a Web Proxy" icon () in the site where you want to include your Document.
  3. Enter a label (used for your site's navigation), a path (used for the URL where your Google Doc will appear in your site), and paste the URL to the published version of your Google Docs Document. Click "Add Web Proxy".

That's it.

Caveats:
  1. The default links at the bottom of the Google Doc are not valid.
  2. This has been tested with a Document and a Spreadsheet, but not with a Form or Presentation.
